Goodbye, Ick.   Sir Ichabod left his illness behind, for a new and better life on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, January 13th, 2012.  He was only months away from his 14th birthday.  Thank you to Dr. Kristine Collins at Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic for all of your wonderful care with Ick through the years.  I promised him I'd not let him suffer, and as hard as it was, I fulfilled that promise.

See below to see what some of our critters have been up to in 2011!
And be sure to check out the farm blog!

We bought a new horse November, 2011...a breed I've always fancied!  We are now the proud owners of a Norwegian Fjord weanling filly!  Her page has been added on our "Horses" page!

Hello, and thank you for visiting our website!  We are a small, private hobby farm located just outside of Madison, in beautiful south-central Wisconsin.  Among us live four horses (an Arabian, an American Quarter Horse, and two Miniature Horses), three miniature donkeys,  three cats, and nine Rhode Island Red and Black Australorp chickens.  All of the critters can be seen on various pages of this website!   We live along the beautiful Ice Age Glacial Trail, and call our farm Glacier Ridge, as we live along a terminal moraine, along the glacier trail, and are lucky enough to enjoy kettle ponds right in our backyard, with all the wildlife that comes with it.

Palm Sunday "Donkey Walk" for a local church.

We love all horses, however we have always had a special admiration for horses with dun factor (grulla, dun, red dun) and have been honored to breed a few foals who were not only of great quality, but were beautifully colored to top it all off!  All of the foals we sold are now scattered around the US, and we no longer breed.  Those we have remaining here are primarily family members and pets.  I do enjoy sharing my critters, however, as you can see in some of the photos above.  Thank you for visiting our website, and feel free to E-mail if you have any questions or comments!  Enjoy your stay!
