Blue on a beautiful early November day...

We are a small hobby farm located just outside of Madison, in south central Wisconsin.  We call our farm Glacier Ridge as we are situated along a terminal moraine, meaning a point where the glacier stopped.  The Ice Age Trail runs right alongside our place, and we have woods and ponds, and all the wildlife that comes with it, right in our own backyard.  And of course the smell of horses, any hippophile (horse lover) knows the importance of THAT in our lives!  We have two American Quarter Horses, an Arabian and two mischievous miniature horses.  We are also owned by two miniature donkeys and two pygmy goats, a German Shepherd Dog, three house cats, two Holland Lop rabbits and a New Zealand White rabbit, 9 Leghorn-type hens,  and one goofy Blue & Gold Macaw.

We love all horses, however we have a special admiration for horses with dun factor (grulla, dun, red dun) and have been honored to breed a few foals who were not only of great quality, but were beautifully colored to top it all off!  All of the foals we sold are now scattered around the US.  There is a little more information on those foals throughout our website.  We are no longer breeding as we would like to now concentrate more on enjoying and having fun with our horses off the farm.  We are, however, expecting a miniature donkey foal for the summer of 2008!  We can't wait!
